I have always had a passion for the natural world and an interest in psychology, alternative healing, and spiritual energy. I was finally pushed to formally pursue my education in these realms when I faced some health issues and, being uninsured, had only the option of emergency room care. I was frustrated at my inability to understand how to manage my health. I also felt disempowered by my reliance on and simultaneously limited access to the standard allopathic paradigm.
Thus, it was over 10 years ago that I began my studies of Western herbalism at the California School of Herbal Studies. I continued with clinical training from KP Khalsa, former president of the American Herbalists Guild.
After years of focusing solely on herbalism, I decided to incorporate a skill that focused more on the mental & emotional body. I completed my hypnosis training in 2013 at the Intimate Hypnosis Training Center in Albany, CA.
I am also trained as a Level 2 Reiki practitioner through the International Center for Reiki Training.
When I'm not working with clients, I enjoy cooking, making herbal products, hiking, and playing with my cats.
